The procedure of issuing of entry permit for the entry, temporary stay, or movement into the Border Zone and Boundary Line
Citizens of Georgia and foreign countries willing to relocate to the Boundary Line and Border Zone of the state border of Georgia for tourist purposes (hiking, mountaineering, etc.) must have a special permit, which can be obtained either at the Border Police Central Office (Kandelaki str., Tbilisi) or at the Regional Divisions of the Border Police and Border Sectors.

Please note that from September 1, 2022, for violation of the border regime established on the land section of the state border of Georgia, the mechanisms of administrative fines provided by the Code of Administrative Offenses will be applied.
