With the new renaissance of areas like Maidani and Chardan streets, Tbilisi is gathering a reputation for a night out equal to that of any other major city. Relax al fresco with a Saperavi at one of the charming restaurant/bars with tables spread across the paved streets - a night club is never far away. In the summer take one of the famous "floating tables" down the river Mtkvari to dine out before a gliding city, then come back on shore for the serious business of a night on the tiles. Georgia also has a very active Dance scene and there are a number of popular clubs with DJ's flying in from all over the world. The largest club is Night Office, which is located in a cavernous space underneath a bridge and regularly packs in thousands of dancers. A more intimate atmosphere can be found at Switch, which is known for its juggling bar tenders and a very friendly crowd.
Traffic is a great LA style no-signage Lounge found near Freedom Square down an alley marked with tiny blue lights. Inside you will discover very friendly and informative hosts, a broad expat and local clientele and excellent music until dawn.
